Ignite by Hatch is a research-based learning platform that cover seven domains of learning through a dynamic digital play environment. This document walks through the research that was used to inform the design and development of the content within Ignite by Hatch. The paper is divided into three sections, starting with the features related specifically to the child and then onto the supports for the educator, and then the family. In addition to this research foundation, the team continuously reviews the most recent research around best practices for designing digital programs to ensure products are meetings the needs of all children.
