This session will underscore the significance of early literacy, covering seven key foundational literacy skills. Join us as we demonstrate how Key Foundations and Ignite work together harmoniously, providing educators with effective strategies to cultivate a robust literacy foundation for young learners.

Presenter Profile: Meghann Hickey, MS Ed., began her career as a Lead Teacher in a Massachusetts infant/toddler program. She honed her policy skills as a Policy Associate at ECEC in Washington, D.C., tracking state and federal legislation. Then, at the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), she trained educators to meet high-quality standards within the Accreditation of Early Learning Programs division. Meghann then worked at Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), developing online training modules for early educators under the Ready to Learn grant. She manages Hatch Early Learning's Professional Development, driving tech integration in early education. Meghann holds a Master's in Early Childhood Studies from Walden University and a Bachelor's in Family Studies from the University of New Hampshire, with dual minors in Education and Deaf Studies.
