Children are born with the need and desire to connect with those around them. When teachers and providers establish positive relationships with children from birth through the early years, children feel safe and secure, laying the foundation for healthy social-emotional development. This process affects how children experience the world, express themselves, manage their emotions, and establish positive relationships with others.
Early childhood teachers and providers play an important role in nurturing children's social-emotional development. In this webinar, Kara Dukakis, Director of Too Small to Fail, and Nicole Kreller, Implementation Advisor for the Educare Learning Network will introduce research on the importance of early social-emotional development and share concrete tips and strategies for early childhood teachers and providers to implement with their young students. They will also share free resources that Too Small to Fail developed with national partners to support early educators.
