This webinar will focus on the importance of language in children's literacy development. We will investigate key findings about language and share strategies to help teachers to promote language-rich environments.
We’re excited for Dr. Susan Neuman, a Hatch Academic Advisor, to host this webinar! Dr. Neuman is a specialist in early literacy development; whose research and teaching interests include early childhood policy, curriculum, and early reading instruction for children who live in poverty.
In her role as the U.S. Assistant Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education, Neuman established the Early Reading First program, developed the Early Childhood Educator Professional Development Program, and was primarily responsible for initial implementation of the No Child Left Behind Act. Dr. Neuman currently serves as a Professor of Childhood and Literacy Education at NYU Steinhardt.
If you're unable to attend this webinar live, that's no problem! Be sure to register and we will send you a link to our on demand portal to view a recording of the live event. Hopefully you can join us live next month!
