We had such a great time at last month’s STEM Education in Pre-K Webinar! Kara Dukakis (Senior Vice President for the Strong Families and Early Learning Program Area) and Dr. Linda Platas (STEM Expert and Network Member of Development and Research in Early Math Education (DREME) Network) shared some great tips for integrating science, technology, engineering and math into the early childhood classroom. The foundation for STEM skills begins at birth, and early childhood educators play a big role in helping children grow those skills and their curiosity.
During the webinar, we learned about developing STEM skills with early learners, the research behind the importance of early STEM and strategies and tips for bringing STEM ideas into the classroom. If you’re looking for some new ideas for bringing STEM into your classroom, we’ve included a free resource sheet for teachers! Click here to download the PDF.
